
Ingredients for Chocolate Bread Pudding
4 Cups Soft Bread Cubes
3 Cups Milk
¾ Cup Granulated Sugar
2 Ounces Unsweetened Chocolate Squares
3 Eggs, well beaten
¼ Tea Spoon Salt
Method of making Chocolate Bread Pudding
Preheat the oven at 350 Degrees.
In a saucepan, mix the milk and the chocolate squares. Keep stirring till the chocolate has melted completely. Add the bread, sugar and salt to this mixture.
Then fold this mixture into the well beaten eggs.
Prepare a baking dish by greasing it lightly. You can also use baking cups. Pour the mixture into the baking dish or baking cups. Put the baking dish or the baking cups into a pan which is filled with hot water. Ensure that the water level does not reach into the pudding.
Bake this for about 45 to 55 minutes in the oven.
One way to check if the pudding is ready is to insert a knife into the bake and see if it comes out without anything sticking to it. Check earlier if you are using baking cups.
Serve warm.
Garnishing
You can garnish the pudding with some vanilla ice cream or chocolate sauce or some whipped cream, or all the above, for added effect and taste.
